Autodesk AEC Applications Engineer

Summary:
The Autodesk Applications Engineer is responsible for providing implementation services for the Autodesk architectural and building engineering solutions.  This includes pre sales and post sales consulting, and product demonstrations and training solutions. The ideal candidate must have outstanding communication skills, be highly motivated, and organized.  They must be able to multi-task and provide outrageous service to existing and potential customers; always putting the customer’s needs first.

Responsibilities:
Provide product demonstrations for potential customers.
Provide technical support by telephone and onsite as needed.
Document all support inquiries through our help desk system.
Be responsible for preparation and development of pre sales technical presentations.
Play an active role in the recruitment of clients as a technical resource by becoming a trusted advisor.
Travel to customer locations for multi-day training sessions.
Attend seminars, trade shows and mandatory training as needed.

Required Skills:
Maintain professionalism in appearance and presence at all times.
Ability to effectively communicate proposed solutions to clients.
Experience designing and implementing new software solutions.
Willingness to speak in front of groups.
Ability to effectively demonstrate Autodesk solutions to potential customers
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.  Knowledge with CRM management software a plus.

Experience:
Three or more years experience in the architectural or building industry working with Autodesk products.  Knowledge of the Revit products or AutoCAD MEP preferred.

Education:
B.S. degree in related field preferred or commensurate work experience.
